NUEROFIBROMATOSIS ASSOCIATION OF IRELAND

Neurofibromatosis the disorder is commonly referred to as Nf. Friedrich Von Recklinghausen, a German Pathologist, first described Nf in 1882. Since that time it has become clear not only that Nf is one of the commoner genetic disorders, but also that there are several distinct forms of the condition.

NFA Ireland is a support group established to inform sufferers and their families of the disorder and to let them know they are not alone with their problem. Since its foundation in 1985, NFA Ireland has greatly increased its range of services and expanded considerably as an organization. This is reflected in their hosting of the European Scientific Conference on Neurofibromatosis in Autumn 2008.

Green Island Interactive offers free support and updates to NFA Ireland. To learn more or make a donation, please visit their website at http://www.nfaireland.ie (their upgraded website will be available soon).
