(November 10, 2005) John Flanagan, Director, Green Island Interactive spoke to a packed audience of golf and country club managers at the Westchester Country Club in Rye, NY today. The seminar which was hosted by The Network Support Company of Stamford Connecticut focused on the technical issues facing golf and country club managers today.
John's presentation (titled Managed Wi-Fi Solutions at Golf and Country Clubs) dealt with educating the audience what Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) is, the various standards and terminology they may come across and what they need to look out for when installing a wireless hotspot in their club. During the presentation John mentioned that it is important for country clubs to implement a 'managed' solution when they do decide to install a wireless hotspot. Installing a managed solution ensures club managers and staff don't have to worry about any technical or member issues when using the system. John also covered the costs involved and outlined the many benefits such a solution could bring to both clubs and members.
After the seminar The Network Support Company organized an exhibition and lunch presenting a wonderful opportunity to mingle with attendees and discuss their particular needs. We would like to extend our thanks to The Network Support Company of Stamford, Connecticut for inviting us to speak at such a wonderful event.
