NFA Ireland to Launch New Association Website and Conference Portal Ahead of 2008 Conference
Modern, Professional Sites Will Compliment NFA's Branding and Mission

(November 20, 2006) The Neurofibromatosis Association of Ireland (NFA Ireland) has engaged Green Island Interactive to design two new websites for the foundation. The first site will feature a complete re-design of their association's website and the second is a portal site that will support Ireland's hosting of the European Scientific Conference on Neurofibromatosis, which will be held in Killarney in 2008.

NFA Ireland is a support group established to inform sufferers and their families of the disorder and to let them know they are not alone with their problem. Since its foundation in 1985, NFA Ireland has greatly increased its range of services and expanded considerably as an organization. This is reflected in their hosting of the European Scientific Conference on Neurofibromatosis in Autumn 2008.

"The NFA Ireland web site is an important medium for getting information about Neurofibromatosis to sufferers, their families, the media, and the medical community. We contacted Green Island to design a site for NFA Ireland that would reflect the high standard we set for ourselves in terms of the services we provide. We reviewed Green Island's portfolio and are confident our new site will positively reflect our organization, and at a price quoted especially for a not-for-profit."
Hosting the European Scientific Conference on Neurofibromatosis in Killarney in 2008 is a great honor and we plan to launch a portal site that will assist with the build up to the conference. The portal site will help us publicize the event and visitors will find information on the program and main topics, agenda, abstracts, speakers, accommodation and travel, as well as contact details and forms. Green Island experience building dynamic, interactive web sites will be very helpful."

The new NFA Ireland web site will be completely redesigned while still incorporating much of the content from the current site. A consistent design will be created for the two sites, further reinforcing the NFA Ireland identity. Both sites are due for release in the first quarter of 2007.
